Comprehensive Tier
Our Comprehensive Tier gives you access to Varealis' most detailed Code Reviews and a complete analysis of test quality and coverage. This is also done in the fastest possible turn around time, ensuring minimal impact on your development/deployment processes. These reviews also use the original requirements/ticket to perform a more detailed analysis of the code and ensure that functionality has not been missed or forgotten. Due to the extra time required to carry out reviews at this level of detail, the bundle size for this tier is 50% larger than those offered at other tiers.
By analysing the original requirements and acceptance criteria, we can ensure that the code meets the expected code quality while delivering the expected functionality. This provides a tighter feedback loop for developers, giving them an extra opportunity to add missing requirements before involving other stakeholders or testers. It also has the added benefit of identifying potential defects in the codebase and/or original requirements, so they can be addressed earlier and more cost-effectively.
This tier of Code Review also includes advanced analysis of test quality and coverage going above and beyond all other methods of test verification. This analysis guarantees that your code and tests are of a high standard, proven to work and easy to maintain over time. This takes advantage of some of the skills and techniques that have gone into the development of RadSpider, making it a unique service that is currently only available from our Comprehensive Tier of Code Reviews.
Standard/Priority Tiers
Detailed Code Reviews give you the confidence that your codebase is reliable having been assessed and approved by an independent third party. Our reviews focus on maintaining and improving overall code quality and also catching bugs and potential holes in security or validation. We work closely with you, our client, to understand your specific needs and targets. This means that you will get a tailored Code Review which takes into account the current state of your codebase (i.e. the design patterns and standards that are currently in place) as well as the long term ambitions for a team's standards. This will enable you to carefully charter a course for improving the quality of the product over time while having a minimal impact on risk and/or productivity.
Our 'Priority' Tier is designed for teams that require detailed Code Reviews quickly. This tier is suitable for nearly all teams that want to apply code quality standards without disrupting or slowing down their current workflow.
Our 'Standard' Tier package has been specifically designed to offer an affordable product for teams working on less time-critical changes. The quality of the reviews do not change, but they will take a little longer to complete. This tier is especially suited to large code changes that have taken place (e.g. large scale refactoring) where an extra pair of eyes is required to ensure that all basis have been covered.
Pay as you Go
It is also possible to purchase any of the tiers mentioned above on a Pay as you Go basis. The quality of the service that we provide will not change, it is simply offered in a more flexible manor. Pay as you Go Code Reviews are perfect for companies who want to try out our services for an extended time period or who want to get a feel for how many bundles you will require in a standard month.
